PP641 Challenge Winners

Hello everyone - -Joanne here! Thank you to everyone who played along with my clean and simple challenge this week; I thoroughly enjoyed visiting your blogs and understanding what inspired your chosen single image. Without further ado, the winner this week is:

Carol McFarland - Saw It. Had To Make It.

There were some fabulous cards in the gallery, but when I saw Carol's cute sheep, with delicate blended background, I was smitten. Add in the sweet little crochet knit detail and I was hooked (excuse the pun). Congratulations, Carol, on being my headliner this week!

Again, thank you to everyone for playing along with us.  Congratulations to all our winners! Please be sure to pick up your badges here. We hope you will display them proudly.  Come back tomorrow for a fun Sketch Challenge from LeAnne!

PP641 - A Clean-and-Simple Challenge from Joanne

Hello everyone - Joanne here! Before we get to my challenge this week, I'd like to give a big shout out to everyone who played along with Jaydee's colour challenge last week - some truly pretty cards! On to this week's challenge! I love clean and simple (CAS) cards: minimal layers, few embellishments and lots of white space all typify a clean and simple card. I often find it helpful if I'm designing a CAS card to choose a single image as my focal point - it's a great way to reduce clutter. It could be a bird, an animal, a person, a number or something else entirely - the possibilities are endless! So that's my challenge to you this week: feature one of something as the focal point on your card - and remember to keep your design clean and simple!

PP640 Challenge Winners

Happy Saturday.
A huge thank you to all of you who played along with my spring/summer color challenge this week.  It was wonderful to see so many different shades of those colors.  I know we say this every week, but it's true, you really did make it hard for us to choose our challenge winners.  Before we get to our Headliner this week, let's see what caught the eye of our design team.

HEADLINER
Colleen

Personally I find it really hard to use die-cuts that need to "create a scene". Colleen's card is a master class in how to make it work.  She used the colors in such a creative way.  The bold green brick was so unexpected but provides such a great pop of color as a background.  Three different shades of pink add a continuity and cohesion.  The black slippers look perfectly casual for a Saturday stroll to the market where fresh flowers are abundant.  Colleen's card evoked so many memories for me that I was fascinated by it.  Such a cool card!  Congratulations on being our HEADLINER this week, Colleen.  Your card is stunning.

i hope you will come back tomorrow and join us for Joanne's Clean and Simple challenge - always a favorite of mine1

PP640 - A Color Challenge from Jaydee

Happy Sunday.  Jaydee here with our new Paper Players challenge.   Before we get to the challenge this week we'd like to send a huge shout out to those of you who played along with Claire's fun theme challenge last week.  As always, you made it difficult for us to choose our winners and we loved visiting your creations.

For the challenge this week I chose a summery color scheme with a touch of black and white.  Here's our challenge this week

Here's the design team inspiration cards.  The colors vary from pale shades of green and pink to bright shades.  Some of us went with a softer color scheme and some of us went really bold.  We can't wait to see what you make with these colors

Now it's over to you and we can't wait to see the shades of pinks and greens you use!

Challenge Rules:
  1. Create a new paper-craft project specifically for this challenge.
  2. Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us.
