Challenge #40: Sketch Challenge Winners!

Hello and welcome to the Paper Players! We were delighted to see all of your entries in our sketch challenge and thank you for sharing your wonderful creations with us. Shall we see the design team's selections?

A Cut Above:

Ann's Choice - Jen Mitchell
Classy and tailored describe Jen's card to a tee! The Cherry Cobbler provides the perfect "pop" of color against the Basic Gray, while the Marina Mist flowers add a soft touch. I love how she stamped her sentiment directly on the image mat. Of course, the three buttons in a row are the perfect accent! Congratulations, Jen, for being my choice for A Cut Above this week!

Marian's choice- Julie DiMatteo
Oh my goodness, Julie DiMatteo card took my breath away. The Fifth Avenue Floral is a first class choice. Julie's gold embossing is splendid along with the neatly laid ruffle ribbon border Her water coloring and cutting skills are superb. A beautiful, elegant, vibrant award winning masterpiece filled with inspiration. Congratulations Julie from Aplharetta, Georgia!

Lesley's Choice ~ Kim Singdahlsen
I love Kim's pretty card with the Crumb Cake backdrop and the touch of black to make everything pop! The watercoloured flower and the three little pearls add a pretty and light touch to this card that makes it both feminine and elegant! Congratulations Kim!!

LeAnne's Choice - Kathy Schweinfurth
I almost missed this beautiful card by Kathy, as it came in right under the deadline, but I am sure glad I found it! What a gorgeous creation-- it uses Baja Breeze, which always catches my eye, paired with Kiwi Kiss, a striking combination; and her jumbo embossed butterfly, colored, cut out and mounted on the embossed panel, just looks so realistic, I almost think it is ready to fly away! Her subtle details really add up to an awesome creation! Congratulations, Kathy!

Jaydee's Choice: Tammy

I loved the softness of Tammy's card. There is such an understated elegance about the color choices and the way the focal point is stamped. There is so much beautiful texture on each layer. The finishing touches for me where the fabulous bow and the three pearls beautifully positioned on the oval. An all round gorgeous card. I absolutely loved it. Congratulations, Tammy.

Anne Marie's Choice: Christy Q

I just loved the bold design and fabulous color combo of Christy's card. The distressing she added using the Color Spritzer tool really made that main image pop and the bling is perfectly placed throughout the card. I especially liked the creative way she used the punch for the sentiment. Classy and elegant all the way around! Congratulations Christy, on being my pick for A Cut Above!

And Nance's choice for our Headliner:

Rosemary's card is perfectly balanced and full of details but at the same time clean and elegant. Each of her elements coordinates with something else on the card and I love how she's carried the green from the scalloped border over to the green mat on the sentiment. Likewise, the soft, feminine colors and the sweet baker's twine coordinate perfectly with the floral paper. I am a huge fan of stamping on patterned paper and the pattern pieces are adorable. And what stamper can resist a sentiment like that?! All in all, it's just a fabulous card, wouldn't you agree? Congratulations Rosemary, you're our Headliner this week!

Thanks again to everyone who played along--we loved having you with us! Be sure to come back tomorrow for a fun theme challenge that arrives just in time for all your spring cleaning!
