And now for my Headliner:

The ephemera on Rosemary's card gives her festive card a wonderfully vintage feel, yet the clean layers add a modern vibe. The subtle swirled background and looped twine bow soften the design and make for a fabulous Christmas card. Congratulations Rosemary on being my Headliner this week!

PP708 - A Sketch Challenge from Joanne

Hi everyone - Joanne here! Firstly a big thank you to everyone who played along with Ann's Clean and Simple Challenge last week - what fabulous entries! This week it is my favourite, Sketch Challenge week. My card contains three elements, including a sentiment and a diagonal - something I usually avoid - so I can't wait to see how you embrace it. Whether you choose to go clean and simple or pile on the layers, I can't wait to see what you create!

PP707 Challenge Winners

Hey, Stampers! It's Ann! I want to thank everyone who played in my Clean and Simple challenge, Back to Nature, this past week. We loved seeing all of the variety in the gallery. From birds and bees to flowers and trees, there were so many fun and fabulous cards!

Before we get to my choice for Headliner, let's see what caught the eye of the Design Team this week. In order of entry, we would like to congratulate our three Cut Above winners:

And now for our Headliner:

Deborah Wheeler

A trio of elephants against a blazing sun creates a very powerful image on Deborah's card. Her stenciling, masking and blending skills gave depth and dimension to the scene...it seems as if the elephants are walking toward you. It's a beautiful clean and simple card, with minimal layers and no embellishments. Congratulations, Deborah, on being my choice for Headliner this week!

Again, thank you to everyone for playing along with us.  Congratulations to all our winners! Please be sure to pick up your badges here. We hope you will display them proudly.  Come back tomorrow for a very versatile Sketch Challenge from Joanne!

PP707 - A Clean-and-Simple Challenge from Ann

Hey, Stampers! It's Ann! It is my pleasure to host our challenge this week.  Before I get to the details, The Paper Players would like to thank everyone who participated in Elizabeth's Primary Colors challenge last week. What fun and cheery cards graced our gallery!

For this month's Clean and Simple challenge, I have selected a "Back to Nature" theme for you. You may feature any plant and animal on your card.  I hope you love this theme as much as I do. But remember, this is a CLEAN and SIMPLE challenge. Before you run off to gather your stamps, paper and inks, keep in mind that when The Paper Players use the term "clean and simple", we mean cards that:

Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

Let's check out what the Design Team has created for your inspiration!
