PP743 - A Sketch Challenge from Elizabeth

Hello all! Elizabeth here with a new challenge for you!  First, thanks to everyone who participated in Claire's CAS challenge this past week! So fun to see all the "fruity" cards!  This week, I have an easy sketch to play with and a great way for you to exercise your coloring and stencil skills. Make a one layer card.

What do we mean by a one layer card? AI says "A one layer card is a simple card made from a single piece of cardstock, with no additional layers or embellishments.  The design is directly printed, stamped, or drawn onto the surface of the card base." LeAnne has a more succinct definition: "If you need glue, it ain't one layer."  Perfectly put LeAnne.

So step back... think about your old stamps and stencils and get inky!  We are looking forward to your creativity in the gallery.

Challenge Rules:
  1. Create a new paper-craft project specifically for this challenge.
  2. Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us.
  3. Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.

PP742 Challenge Winners

Hi everyone, it's Claire here! I want to thank everyone for playing in my clean and simple challenge this week. There were so many fabulous  fruity cards in the gallery.  The Design Team had our work cut out for us in picking out the winners.  Before we get to my choice for HEADLINER, let's see who was selected as our three top choices for CUTS ABOVE:

And now, on to my choice for this week's Headliner.

Wanda's card is so bright and colorful!  All the beautiful lemons are stenciled perfectly!  The puny sentiment made me smile.  The ric rac frame and little flowers  are such a  fun way to add texture to this fabulous card.  Congratulations Wanda YOU are my HEADLINER this week!

Congratulations to all our winners! Be sure to pick up your badges HERE. And be sure to come back tomorrow for a new challenge from Elizabeth.

PP740 Challenge Winners

Hello everyone! Jan here. I was so delighted to see the many and varied items that were recycled into gorgeous new projects for my 'Recycling is In' theme.  Let's see what the Design Team chose as their Cut Above favourites this week.

Finally, my choice for Headliner was

Michele

I loved the nautical, Art Deco feel of this card. I really liked the way Michele cut up, rearranged and popped up elements of the original to create something better than what she started with.  Equally well done for spotting the potential of a flyer and keeping it for four years until it could shine! Congratulations, Michele - you are my Headliner this week.

Congratulations to all our winners! Be sure to pick up your badges HERE. And be sure to stop back tomorrow for a new challenge from Stef.

PP740 - A Theme Challenge from Jan

Hello everyone, or as we say in New Zealand, Kia Ora! Welcome to a new challenge at The Paper Players. I’m delighted to be your hostess this week.

It was a pleasure to go through last week’s gallery and see all the wonderful and varied responses to LeAnne’s sketch challenge. Thank you to everyone who participated.

This week, it’s theme week and I’ve chosen ‘Recycling is In’. I’m hoping that you will find a way to recycle something or repurpose something in whatever you create this week.

Here's some fabulous inspiration from the design team to get your ideas flowing:
