PP756 - A Clean-and-Simple Challenge from Jan

Hello everyone! This is Jan here, welcoming you to new challenge at  The Paper Players. Thank you to everyone who played along with LeAnne's subtle colour challenge. As always, the entries were gorgeous. 

It's my pleasure to be the hostess for our Clean and Simple challenge. I've chosen the theme of Watercolour. So maybe you'd like to stamp or emboss an image then use your inks to watercolour, maybe you'd like to get down and dirty with some ink smooshing, or maybe you'd like to try something wild like blowing the ink or using salts. However you'd like to play with water colouring, this is your challenge. 

Just remember that it's also a CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE, so your finished item should:

• have lots of open white space
• have a single focal point
• have minimal layers and embellishments

PP754 Challenge Winners

Hey, Stampers! It's Ann! I want to thank everyone who participated in our "Food, Glorious Food" theme challenge this past week.  Your creations had our mouths watering as we selected our winners.  There were so many delightful and delicious cards in the gallery, we truly had a tough time narrowing down our choices. With beautifully colored apples looking good enough to eat, Rosanne's "Bushel of Thanks" card will be a day brightener for the lucky recipient. The textured background is a lovely backdrop for the basket of apples, while the patterned strips of paper give a delightful country vibe to the card. To top it off, the little apples on the inside of the card, with their adorable faces, brought a smile to my face.

Hey, stampers. It's Ann! Before we get to our challenge for this week, I would like you all to give a huge welcome to the newest member of our Design Team.  She was a year-long guest designer back in 2022, and we are so happy that she has agreed to share her fabulous talent with us every week as part of our Design Team.  Please help us welcome the fabulous Christy Stanford to our team.  Here's a little about Christy, in her own words:

"Hello again, Paper Players!  My name is Christy Stanford, and after being a guest designer here a few years ago I am absolutely thrilled to be back!  I began my paper crafting journey way back in high school with scrapbooking, and then began stamping and card making soon after I married my sweet husband (who really complains very little about how my crafting has taken over...well, everything!).  I currently reside in Colorado with the hubs, our spawn Ryan, our dog Daphne, and a whole lot of crafting supplies and books.  It's wonderful to be back with the Paper Players!"

There were some fabulous cards in the gallery this week, but Windy's pink florals stopped me in my tracks. Her soft, no-line stencilling and riot of pink colour reminded me of candy floss - all soft and pillowy! I love the simple composition that really allows the florals to shine; there's even an understated twist of ribbon for a touch of added elegance. So feminine and pretty!
