PP640 Challenge Winners

Happy Saturday.
A huge thank you to all of you who played along with my spring/summer color challenge this week.  It was wonderful to see so many different shades of those colors.  I know we say this every week, but it's true, you really did make it hard for us to choose our challenge winners.  Before we get to our Headliner this week, let's see what caught the eye of our design team.

HEADLINER
Colleen

Personally I find it really hard to use die-cuts that need to "create a scene". Colleen's card is a master class in how to make it work.  She used the colors in such a creative way.  The bold green brick was so unexpected but provides such a great pop of color as a background.  Three different shades of pink add a continuity and cohesion.  The black slippers look perfectly casual for a Saturday stroll to the market where fresh flowers are abundant.  Colleen's card evoked so many memories for me that I was fascinated by it.  Such a cool card!  Congratulations on being our HEADLINER this week, Colleen.  Your card is stunning.

i hope you will come back tomorrow and join us for Joanne's Clean and Simple challenge - always a favorite of mine1

  3. Thank you, Jaydee, for choosing my card this week and for those wonderful comments! This new set by Concord & 9th is really fun to use, especially with the endless color options. For this card I ink blended some gray for the sidewalk, but on the others I've made I used various brick, tile and wood patterned papers for the "sidewalk" and that adds even more fun to this set. Thanks again, and congrats to the Cut Above cards too!
