Winners for Challenge #65- Anne Marie's Sketch

Hi everyone, Anne Marie here. Wow, it was another week filled with fabulous creativity, here at The Paper Players! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our sketch challenge. Each week you all continue to bring awesome ideas and creative inspiration and we are so happy you support us here at The Paper Players. Without further ado, let's check out the Design Team's picks for the week...

A Cut Above:
LeAnne's Choice - Crealotte
Oh my, so many, many creative choices this week....it makes for choosing a card so challenging! But this vintage jack-o-lantern with his big grin kept coming back to "haunt" me!!! If you look at Mr Jack closely, you can see that Crealotte added some dry embossing to make him dimensional, as well as some glossy and glittery accents too! He is one well-dressed gourd! The background papers are a fun complement without being too busy! He just cracks me up! Congrats, Crealotte, on being my Cut Above this week!

Ann's Choice: Lauri

When I first viewed Lauri's card I was enthralled by the mix of colors and textures. Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz and River Rock are a wonderful combination for a fresh, fall card. The texture behind the leaf sets off the focal image perfectly, while the "helicopter" is the perfect accent for the sentiment. Congratulations, Lauri, for being my choice for "A Cut Above"!

Rita's Choice: Narelle Farrugia

Purple is my absolute favorite color, so Narelle's card immediately caught my eye and brought a smile to my face. I love the beautiful clean lines of her card, not to mention that fabulous Cottage Wall designer paper! The hint of ribbon and the antique brad are wonderful accents and add a nice touch without distracting from those gorgeous field flowers. Congratulations, Narelle, for being my Cut Above for the week!

Lesley's Choice: Lela

I chose Lela's card because I loved the clean lines and the embossed background. The text that was stamped over the reindeer is really an interesting touch and the two little images in their own circles added a nice balance to the card! The little bow is super sweet as is the little "collar" she created for her reindeer. An adorable Christmas creation using the sketch! Congratulations Lela for being my Cut Above choice for the week!

Tara's Choice: Miriam N
Miriam's richly colored fall card is my choice for this week. I love the traditional fall colors she used with just a pop of blue on her colored image. I absolutely love her stamped image of the indian corn arrangement. It is reminiscent of ones I used to hang on our front door when we lived back east. The gold jewels and fabulous copic colored seam binding bow are such perfect details for an overall beautiful autumn card. Congratulations Miriam for being my choice for Cut Above!

Julie's Choice: Jen
Jen pulled out some vintage DSP and paired it up with a vintage stamp set to create this wonderfully retro holiday card. Non-traditional colors are a great way to freshen up a stamp set and Taken with Teal, Ruby Red and Sahara Sand have done just the trick. Not only did she choose great colors, but she freshened up the sketch by 'scrunching' the horizontal panels together, added some fabulous sponging to each of the layers and picked the perfect font for the sentiment. Congratulations Jen on being my Cut Above this week. Your card is fabulous!

Jaydee's Choice: Cindy

I loved Cindy's bright and cheerful and unexpected baby card. The focal point with the chair, table and teddy bear was a unique and totally ingenious idea. The bright fresh colors of the Pool Party with Pink and Espresso is fabulous. An absolutely gorgeous card. Cindy, congratulations on being my Cut Above this week.

Sandie's Choice - Karen Squires
Stampin' By the Bay

This card is vintage Halloween perfection! All of the little details add up to one spooktacular card. The fussy cut spider goes well with the skeleton, and the distressing is just fabulous! This card has so many details, you really need to just take them all in. The colors are perfectly vintage and are just right for this type of card. Congrats Karen, you are my Cut Above this week!

Now, our Headliner for the week:
Anne Marie's Choice: Debbie Henderson
With so many wonderful creations this week, selecting a Headliner was no easy task. Debbie's card is chock full of gorgeous details and fabulous techniques! From the inlaid embossing to the colored mica flakes in the shaker accent, this fall card really pops. I especially love the layered doily around the center, too. The pretty lace double-bow ties everything together beautifully. So much beautiful detail and an absolutely awesome color combo, too. Congratulations, Debbie on making the headlines this week, here at The Paper Players!

Congratulations to all of the winners! Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see the new challenge. The lovely LeAnne is our hostess and she has a fun theme challenge planned for you! Have a great day!
