Winner's of Challenge #87 - Nance's CAS Challenge

Button, button, who's got the button?  You ALL do!  Wow, what an amazing week of button-mania.  Thank you for playing along with my button challenge last week.  I loved seeing all your wonderful creations.  Before we get to the Headliner, let's see what caught the eye of the Design Team...

Our picks for A Cut Above

Ann's Choice: Christy Q.

Talk about a cute card! Christy Q designed a cutie patootie one for sure!  I love the quilting theme, with the little "quilted" squares and the spool of thread. In addition, she added yummy texture with a polka dot embossing folder which coordinates with the polka dot paper!  Of course, the buttons, a requirement of this challenge, are the perfect touch!  Congratulations, Christy, on being my choice for A Cut Above!

Jaydee's Choice:
Rach

So many great cards this week - again!  I loved Rach's bold birthday card.  Lots of white space and those fabulous buttons in ROYGBIV order made my CAS heart happy.  I love that Rach chose to stamp the sentiment on vellum - it makes a statement and yet doesn't over power the card and I love the white on white.   Wonderful card and guaranteed to be a hit with the recipient.  Rach, congratulations on being my Cut Above this week.

LeAnne's Choice:  Narelle

Narelle used Lesley's Merry Monday sketch to make this beautiful Christmas card.  Although it is clean & simple, she cleverly used the tree image from Lovely as a Tree to make the seasonal greenery with red buttons as the berries.  Her crinkly bow and sweet sentiment add just the right touch.  She is a very patient person, as she cut out both trees!!!  Her attention to detail has rewarded her, as she is my Cut Above this week!

Sherry's Choice: Rach

The moment I saw Rach's card I knew it had to be my favorite from all of this weeks entries. I love those fun piggies with the button noses and the fun pom-pom trim on the hats. I think I definitely need to add this stamp set to my stash. Thanks Rach, for being my Cut Above this week!

Anne Marie's Choice: Lyndal

Lyndal's adorable bunny card instantly brought a smile to my face as soon as I saw it! I love the fun and fresh color combo and how the ribbon accents complement the button balloons perfectly. How stinkin' cute is that bunny image? I especially like his little shirt..hee hee! The sentiment just ties it all together perfectly for one super-sweet, CAS-tastic creation. Congratulations Lyndal, for being my choice for A Cut Above this week.

Jenn's Choice:  Joan Ervin
Oh my gosh, when I saw this sweet card I could not stop smiling. I love the clean fun layout, mix of patterned papers and of course that super sweet bunny! But it was the placement of those trio of buttons that sealed the deal for me. I just felt they really finished off and helped balance the whole card, and that is why Joan you are my Cut Above for this week! Congratulations!

Heidi's Choice: Gisela

I absolutely adore Gisela's card! The simplicity of the flowers with the petite button centers are so sweet! I love how the flowers seemed to have popped open just for Spring! The grass punch finishes the nature scene beautifully, as well as the simple tie of the pink ribbon. The colors compliment each other perfectly and using a stamp to create the leaves behind the flowers is such a great idea giving the card depth and character! Beautiful work, Gisela, and congrats on being my Cut Above this week!

And now for our HEADLINER........

Nance's Choice: Sue Weiberg

There were so many fantastic button creations in the gallery this week and many contenders for our Headliner.  In the end, it was Sue’s bright and happy button banner card that caught my eye and drew me back time and again.  The design and layout are pure clean and simple but the use of buttons to form a banner is pure genius!  Paired with the sweet candy background paper and the perfect sentiment, this challenge is all buttoned up! :-)  Congratulations, Sue, you’re my choice for this week’s Headliner

Thanks to all for playing along with us at The Paper Players!  Don't forget to come back tomorrow and see what the always amazing Ann has sketched out for you.
Cheers!
Nance
