We loved what you all shared with us for this, our final challenge of 2010. There were some fabulous color combinations amongst the entries and it made it pretty difficult for us to choose our winners again this week.
Before we get to the Cut Above and Headliner winners, we would like to take a minute to thank you all for participating in our challenges and supporting us this year. When Lesley started this challenge blog just a little over 6 months ago, we were not sure how it would go. We just knew that we were excited about it and hoped that you would play along. A huge thank you to all of you, especially to those of you who play along with us regularly.
We look forward to seeing you again in January and hope you will play along with us when we post our first 2011 challenge on January 9.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful Holiday Season. One filled with love, laughter and joy.
Now, on to our Cut Aboves this week:
Jaydee's Choice: Pam's Floral Wreath
I loved Pam's green, orange and yellow choices. It is such a warm, welcoming and happy color scheme. I also loved the little bit of bling of satin on the ribbon and the discrete pearls. It was a perfect ray of summer in the midst of our winter storm! Congratulations, Pam!
Ann's Choice: Kerin Sylvester
Night of Navy and Basic Gray sponged onto Shimmery White card stock makes the perfect winter sky on this beautiful card designed by Kerin. You can almost feel the frost in the air as the children from Welcome Christmas head out for a fun night of sledding and skating. With no embellishments to distract, the scene says it all. Congratulations on this fabulous card, Kerin!
Jeanne's Choice: Regina Mangum
I'm a traditionalist at heart and I LOVE the card Regina made!! It just makes you smile to look at it and the layout is just sublime!! The red plaid background paper is so cozy looking and the textures she gave it really make the image pop! Fabulous work, Regina!!!!
Marlene's Choice: Donna of Butternut Sage Designs
This card that Donna has created has so many favourites of mine. From the embossing folder to the dsp and this beautiful swirly sentiment. This is such a classic colour combo. Works for almost any card. I just love the little reminder ribbon she added to emphasize the reason for this little gift. Congratulations Donna!
Anne Marie's Choice: Colleen Dietrich of Dietrich Designs
Colleen's card is just so fun and that's why she gets my pick for A Cut Above! She really made me embrace this classic, holiday color combo of red and green. The sweet, little snowman has SO much character with the bright colors and all of the awesome sparkle. The baker's twine dresses up the design, along with the houndstooth paper and that adorable leaf frame. Congrats, Colleen!
Wishing everyone a very Happy Holiday Season! :)
LeAnne's Choice: Christina MacLaren
It's no secret that I love clean and simple; I also love polka dots AND these colors together. Tie it all up with some awesome sewing, buttons and dies, and Christina's card was an easy pick for me! Just fabulous! Congratulations, Christina! And Merry Christmas to all our readers!
Our Headliner for this week is Susie Wittwer for this beautiful creation:Nance's choice: Amy Duff
I chose Amy's card for the happy color combination, the fun details and the offset layout. I love non-traditional colors for Christmas and while she used red and green she paired it up with pastels and a lovely shade a celery that blends it all together. And look at those cute jingle bells! Definitely a cut above for me! Congratulations Amy!
I love the layout and the color combo together! The lace doily and the the flower she made, pops and makes this card extra special! These colours are wonderful together and echo the sentiment perfectly! From the embossed layers to the brads, this card shows a lot of effort and creativity! Congrats Susie and Merry Christmas!
On a final note. We would like to thank all of our wonderful guests designers for 2010. It was such a pleasure to have you all on our team. It was wonderful to see your creations on our blog and you were such an inspiration for our players.
Happy Holidays
