Colleen's Creative Corner

Colleen's stunning card is so elegant and sophisticated!  I love the silver and white embossing!  It just pops off the black background.  The silver frame is perfect to showcase the ornament and tapestry!  The embossed sentiment inside and out are fabulous, too!  A few silver sequins completes this beauty!  Congratulations Colleen--YOU are my HEADLINER this week!

Once again, thank you to everyone for playing along with us.  Congratulations to all our winners! Please be sure to pick up your badges here. We hope you will display them proudly.  The Paper Players Design Team is taking a well deserved break until the new year.  Please join us on Sunday, January 3 for the first challenge of 2021.  Until then, we wish you a peaceful and joyous holiday season with family and friends!

Hello and Goodbye!

As this week is our final challenge for 2020.  We wanted to thank all of YOU for playing along with us this year.  We appreciate your support and have enjoyed seeing all of your wonderful creations in our gallery.  We look forward to playing along with us in 2021.

It is also the time of year when we say goodbye to our 2020 guest designers.  A huge shout out to Allisa, Mary and Stef for sharing their immense talent with us.  It has been an honor to craft beside such a talented and supportive trio.

It's also time to say hello to our very talented 2021 guest designers.  We are pleased to welcome Amanda, Debbie and Nancy to our team.  Welcome ladies, we can't wait to craft alongside you.  Here's a little about each of new GDs.

Amanda Mertz

Hi!  I'm Amanda Mertz and I'm very excited to be a Guest Designer with the Paper Players this year.  I live in Richmond, VA with my husband Matt and two sons Ryan (14) and Alex (12).  I've been stamping since 2004 and a Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 2009.  My family has always been supportive of my 'jobby' as I call it. It's not quite enough to call it a job and clearly way more than just a hobby.  Pre-pandemic I hosted a monthly stamp class for 10 years with a fabulous group of stampers and I look forward to in person stamping again but for now I'm really enjoying participating in challenges and sharing projects on my blog.  When I'm not stamping I enjoy reading, walking/hiking, watching sports and playing with my dog Aggie.

Debbie Crowley

Hi, my name is Debbie Crowley and I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer with The Paper Players for 2021!  A resident of Central New Jersey, I am Mom to two wonderful adult children, Alison and Denis, and have a Grand Dog named Lucky who I love spoiling. They are all very supportive of my paper crafting life.
My first Stampin’ Up! Workshop was hosted by my sister in 1998.   Not knowing anything about card making or what rubber stamping was, I was reluctant to go.  From that workshop there was no turning back.  I’ve been stamping, designing cards and paper crafting since.   I've taught stamp classes on a monthly basis and always enjoyed inviting friends to my home to stamp and share inspiration.  I do hope to have that opportunity again soon.
I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in 2012 and started blogging shortly after.
Card making continues to be an exciting journey for me.  I've grown from and with it.
The Paper Players has always been a favorite challenge of mine and I am excited, honored and grateful to be part of this amazing group in 2021!
Thank you all for this opportunity!

Nancy Leppek

Hi, My name is Nancy Leppek and I live in the sunshine state, we moved here from Ohio when I was 6. I am married to my best friend Dave who is a huge supporter of my hobby, which is really terrific! We both are recently retired from the school system.  We have one son Tyler (28) who is married but unfortunately lives in Santa Cruz, California which is too far for this momma.

As for my paper loving journey. It all started back in 1996 when I started scrapbooking and later became a Creative Memories Consultant. (Hence the title of my blog Scrapperatheart.). Then around 2000, I was introduced to Stampin Up.  I fell in love right away! I started my blog back in 2008 and have enjoyed every minute of it!  I wake up every day thankful for this wonderful creative outlet and all the fabulous people I have met and still hope to meet someday.  It is so amazing the friendships that kindle over paper.

I am absolutely honored to be designing with The Paper Players in 2021 as they are my go-to site when I am looking for a challenge to play along with.

Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity!
