What a great week of submissions! Lots of love out there to give and we were happy to see it! Thank you to everyone who joined in our challenge! The design team looked through all of the projects and we have chosen some winners this week but it was tough! There were so many wonderful creations, you really outdid yourselves!!!
The choices for "A Cut Above" this week are:
Ann's Choice - Narelle
A great sketch is always the cornerstone of a great card...and Narelle has selected a fabulous layout for this gorgeous creation. The lovely color combination of Soft Suede, Pool Party and Blushing Bride is perfect for this softly feminine, vintage beauty. The double bow, the pearls, and the flagged sentiment are the perfect touches, while the Blushing Bride flower draws the eye right to the focal image. Congratulations, Narelle, on being my choice for A Cut Above this week!
LeAnne's Choice-Donna
I have long been a friend and admirer of Donna's creations; she has the most innovative ideas, and this is a perfect example! Her clean & simple style is a perfect background for her clever 3D designs, and this outstanding card for her hubby is over the top! I love that she used a non-traditional color for Valentine's, and she has put her stamping tools to work overtime with her embossed, pleated, heart-filled creation! Congratulations, Donna, for being my Cut Above this week!
Nance’s choice: Kerin Sylvester
Kerin’s bold and beautiful “Always” card really stood out of the gallery for me this week. Red, black and white is such an elegant color combination—especially for Valentine’s Day. The real standout is Kerin’s amazing sponge work. She achieved that deep, rich red background by sponging many layers of color leaving just enough light area to highlight the beautiful shimmery heart. She even sponged the twine wrapped around the heart! Perfect placement of the trailing vines—especially the top right corner—just adds to the sophisticated look and feel of this card. Congratulations Kerin, you’re my choice for A Cut Above!
Jaydee's Choice
Regina of The Stampin' Bean
There were so many amazing cards this week and I went backwards and forwards on my decision. I just couldn't resist Regina's adorable card. Those monsters in a circle are just wonderful. The bright colors and the circle within the square work so well together and are perfect as a card for her little boy. This card made my CAS heart happy and made me smile. An all round fabulous card. Congratulations on being my CUT ABOVE this week Regina.
Anne Marie's Choice:
Denise Willerton of Chez Moi Creations
With so many beautiful entries this week, it was so difficult to select only one. I just kept going back to Denise's pretty card, over and over again. The rich colors, the elegant design and the styled edge, really make this beauty a stand out. The popped-up, dressed-up butterflies are the perfect finishing touch, too. Just all around LOVE-ly! Congratulations on being my pick for A Cut Above this week, Denise!
Wow, the submissions this week were amazing. There were so many beautiful projects shared and some humorous takes on LOVE too! To choose a Headliner was tough! Jenn's beautiful fabric butterfly card really stood out for me because of the clean design mixed with the vibrant colours. The small details like the dangling blue heart with the gemstone and the rounded top of the card, made this card even more special. Don't you just love those adorable hearts, embossed at the bottom? I sure do! Congratulations Jenn on being my choice for the HEADLINER this week at the Paper Players!
