Challenge #74 Winners

Thank you to everyone who joined the Paper Players this past week! Christmas is coming fast and we know how busy everyone is, getting ready for the holiday! We loved viewing your submissions and after much consideration, the design team has chosen some wonderful projects for "A Cut Above".

For A Cut Above:
Ann's Choice: Silke Ledlow
From the beautiful bow to the fabulous flowers, Silke's card is absolutely stunning! The delightful image is colored perfectly to coordinate with the designer paper she used as her background. Gazing at this card, which is further accented with gold pearls and gold cord, puts me right in card heaven! Congratulations, Silke, for being my selection for A Cut Above!

Anne Marie's Choice: Sheri W.
Sheri's cute, little snowman card really made me smile! I really like the texture of the embossed background and the soft blues in the color combo. I especially like all of the "snowy" accents she added, from blanketing the snowman image in a layer of Iridescent Ice embossing powder, to the icy edging on the tilted panel. This card is "snow" much fun, in every way! Congratulations Sheri, on being my pick for A Cut Above this week!

Nance’s choice: Heidi Baks

Oh how I love trees, so Heidi’s card caught my eye right away! I love her interpretation of this week’s sketch and am in awe over the way she perfectly aligned the tree stamp inside and outside of the shaker frame. The sparkly hillside and sponged background create the perfect winter wonderland for the little red bird to pop! Fabulous card, Heidi…congratulations, you’re my choice for A Cut Above!

Jaydee's Choice:
Jen from I Create
I loved that Jen took the sketch challenge and created a CD holder instead. The snipped and popped up tree looks fabulous against the Navy background, and the white stitching is the finishing touch on that panel. Jen also incorporated the gift tag into the sketch in a way that felt so natural and stayed true to the challenge. Overall the card is crisp, clean and fabulous. Or... a clean and simple creation that is simply stunning. Congratulations on being my Cut Above this week, Jen.

Tara's Choice-
Vicki from It's A Stamp Thing
This week's challenge had so many fabulous entries and Vicki's is a testament to that. I love the color combination Vicki used for the card and how she paired the Letter's From Santa DSP with crumb cake. The colors give this card such a warm and toasty feel and my eyes keep roaming over the card with all those lovely stripes. Vicki used on of my favorite holiday images which is beautifully colored and accented by that delicious bow. The little pice of linen thread and silver balls are the perfect finishing touches to this scrumptious card. Congratulations, Vicki, for being my choice for Cut Above!

LeAnne's Choice-
Gisela Craftin'Zone
Gisela’s card stood out to me right away with that beautiful pearl Christmas tree! Her placement of the pearls is so well-done that her tree is shaped perfectly….paired with the lovely sparkly snowflakes and the iridescent ribbon, her card is truly a delight for the eyes and will make someone happy this Christmas season! Congratulations, Gisela, for being my Cut Above this week!

Susan's Choice: Carol Parcell
I love Carol's choice of image, her beautiful colour combination and the embossed red panel just adds so much life to her card. Carol's perfect colouring and the snowflake and brad are gorgeous finishing touches. Congratulation's Carol your card is my Cut Above for this week

For our Headliner:
Lesley's Choice-Mona Pendelton
Mona's card is an elegant masterpiece! She created this card for her sister, whose birthday is coming up soon. I love the soft, fresh colours and the combination of pattern papers. The beautiful bow and tag, highlighted by the vintage rose really added to the elegance of this card! Her superb colouring, flawless detail and feminine touches all made this card the Headliner for me this week! Congratulations Mona!

What a wonderful week of submissions! Tomorrow Nance will be back with a FUN and UNIQUE theme challenge we know you will enjoy!

Due to blogger issues, Julie will be adding her choice for Cut Above a little later.

Smiles,
Lesley
