Challenge #69 Winners

Well, my Sketch Challenge was a little bit different and even a little bit trendy but you all answered the challenge and ran with it!  Hiya Paper Players, Nance here, thanking you for some amazing creations last week.  Let's see what caught the eye of the Design Team...

For A Cut Above:

Ann's Choice - Sandra Conner
Sandie Conner never fails to delight me with her creations!  Her vintage-shabby card combines so many of my favorite elements...texture, ribbon, rosettes, and pearls!  While masterfully combining colors and patterns, she succeeds in adding even more "wow" by using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder!  Congratulations, Sandie, on being my choice for "A Cut Above"!

LeAnne's Choice - Diane Vander Galien
I love the colors that Diane chose for her beautiful Christmas card, but even better, I love those gorgeous snowflakes!  I know how time-consuming it is to punch out all those little pieces from those diecuts, and so I am sure this was a labor of love!  Her embossed background mimics the snowflakes, and the little tags are a sweet little way to say "Merry Christmas!"  Congratulations, Diane, on being chosen as my Cut Above!

Tara's Choice - Marie O
I love Marie's take on Nance's sketch by using the beautiful asian girl for the banner. The bird and fan are perfect for the sketches embellishments. Marie's shading and coloring of the images is just perfection. From the jewels and cording on the dress to the perfectly falling flowers, this card is filled with amazing detail. It's a little piece of art. Congratulations, Marie, for being my Cut Above choice for this week!

Cindy's Choice - Cindy van Oorschot
With all the wonderful entries this week, it was so hard to make a decision, but I kept going back to Cindy's lovely card.  I love the colors and the DSP.  Her use of the DSPs and stamp set were a perfect match.  The details, like the bordor punch and the pearls, finished the card so professionally.  This is such a pleasant and happy card.  Congratulations Cindy!  You're my choice for "A Cut Above"!

Jaydee's Choice: Jen

I loved Jen's "merry and bright" take on the challenge as it was definitely both of those things.  Her use of the repeated Merry for the horizontal element really grabbed my attention.  I also loved her very bright and cheerful color combo.  This clean and simple card, with so much attention to detail, was original and darling.  The double banner really helped to make the snowman pop, too.  Absolutely gorgeous!  Jen, congratulations on being my CUT ABOVE this week.

Julie's Choice: Jen Mitchell
Rustic and Well Worn...those two elements sum this card up perfectly!  Jen drew from the colors in the Well Worn DSP to come up with this fabulous color combo: Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy and Early Espresso.  I don't think they're colors that we would naturally put together, but they are gorgeous.  I love the rustic feel that this card brings and the clean and simple design is just perfect.  Jen, congratulations on being my Cut Above this week!

Lesley's Choice-Trish

I chose Trish's card because of the gorgeous textures and bold colours she created with embossing powders and the designer paper. Her use of colour makes a bold statement! The little roses on the card echo the beautiful romamtic feel of this exquisite creation! I loved her interpretation of the sketch! Congrats Trish on being my choice for Cut Above this week.

Anne Marie's Choice: Susan Joyce
Susan's cuckoo clock card has so much fantastic detail, I just kept going back to look at it. I just love the paper piecing on the clock, the pretty pearl flowers and all of that fabulous texture. The layered sentiment just tops it off beautifully, too. Absolutely gorgeous, in every way. Congratulations to you Susan, on being my pick this week for A Cut Above!

And the Headliner is:
Christy Q!!!

Christy has created a stunning sympathy card.  Every element is soft and serene--from the fabulous use of “white” space, to the elegant image, the soft color palette and the tender sentiment.  All of it perfectly suited for a thoughtful and soothing card that remains true to the sketch.  While it is the privilege of each challenge hostess to choose the Headliner, I must tell you that the senior design team unanimously endorsed Christy’s card this week.  Proving what a fabulous card it truly is...congratulations, Christy, you’re my choice for Headliner!!

Thank you to all who participated...you amaze us each week with your talent.  Be sure to stop by our {Fall Themed} Blog Hop, HERE and the {Fall Themed} Anything Goes challenge, PP70, HERE.  We'll see you back here on Saturday for the winners of the {Fall Themed} Anything Goes challenge!
