Challenge #49: Anything Goes Winners

Hi Paper Players, Nance here! I am pleased to bring you the winners of Challenge #49 today. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Anything Goes Challenge. We love how this Challenge brings out the creative genius in everyone!

The Design Team's choices for A Cut Above:

002
Lesley's Choice: Linda

I chose Linda's card not only because it was so amazingly beautiful, but I loved all the vintage details that she used to create this masterpiece! The black and white gingham ribbon, the beautifully coloured sunflowers and the pretty doily all worked together to create a truly special card! Congratulations Linda!

Anne Marie's Choice: Stacey
Stacey's Stamping Stage

Stacey's rockin' card really caught my eye this week! I loved all of the fabulous details and the way she used the colors together. Such a great combination of "girly-grunge"! The scrunchy bow and the layered scallops are such awesome accents and the bling is the perfect crowning touch on a card fit for a rock princess! Congratulations Stacey, on being my pick for A Cut Above this week. Rock on!

Ann's Choice: Maria

Who can resist a cute, scruffy face? Not I! And for this reason I selected this adorable card by Maria. Maria used a perfect color palette and executed a simple design to place the focus where it should be...right smack dab on what has to be one of the cutest doggy stamps I have ever seen! To further accent the image, she printed off a customized sentiment and designed and cut out the bones! This is a perfect example of whimsy done right! And now I am off to the cupboard to fetch those Boxer Twins a treat or two! Congrats, Maria, for being my choice for A Cut Above!

Guest Designer Rita's choice: Sarah
Sarah's Stamping Style

My husband has heard my squeal of delight many times over lollipops, so it is no surprise that Sarah's adorable card is my Cut Above for the week. I love that she made such adorable candy from baker's twine; it's just so ingenious! The lovely bow and button finish off the card perfectly for a special birthday.

Jaydee's Choice: Madeline
The Stamping Studio

I was in awe of Madeline's creation for several reasons. Firstly, the totally on-trend color choices. 2. Those gorgeous butterflies- they have little dots and color, too! 3. The shape of this fabulous creation. 4 - and finally - that each and every single flower on the roof was hand punched and adhered individually. An astonishingly beautiful creation! Congratulations, Madeline on being my CUT ABOVE this week.

LeAnne's Choice
Rosemary D - Hey There Rosi Girl!

Oh my, I am a pushover for Crumb Cake or Kraft, and when it is paired with any kind of blue, well, I am in love! This gorgeous CAS creation using those beautiful doily and lace images just makes me feel calm & serene! So simple and yet so very elegant--a wonderful job! Congrats on being my Cut Above, Rosemary!

And this week's Headliner:

Nance's choice: Caro
Blue, brown, butterflies and birds, oh my! Caro's delightful birdhouse caught my eye right away. I love her selection of patterned paper and how she added the leaves, flowers, butterfly and bird as embellishments. The pearl centers on the flowers and the sponged edges of the flowers and leaves really make them stand out. Check out the side view of the roof:
Look at that gorgeous sparkly butterfly! And I love how Caro stamped the flourish directly on the designer paper--it adds so much interest and dimension. Oh my gosh, it's just gorgeous. Congratulations Caro, for being my choice for Headliner this week!

Thanks for taking a look at our winners this week. Please join us tomorrow for another great challenge and the first appearance of our two new summer designers!
