Winners for Challenge #89 - Anne Marie's Theme Challenge

Hello and Happy Saturday to you! It's Anne Marie here to announce some winners! All of us here at the Paper Players want to say a BIG thanks to everyone who played along with last weeks "Tickle Your Funnybone Theme Challenge." What a fun-tastic bunch of cards you all created to share some smiles! Before we get to our Headliner, let's check out who the Design Team selected for their Cut Above's for this challenge.

Our picks for A Cut Above

Ann's Choice: Christy Q.
How fun is this! A snowman snowball fight! And doesn't that little fellow on the left look mighty pleased after nailing the adorable little snowgirl with a wintery projectile or two?  The layout was perfect for the vignette that Christy created.   Dazzling Diamonds add glitz and glam to the trim on the hats, and the liquid applique snowballs have so much texture.  Of course, the sentiment is absolutely perfect:  Is it "Snow Fun" to be engaging in a little flakey fight OR is it "No Fun" to be on the losing end?  Congratulations for being my pick for A Cut Above this week, Christy!

Nance’s choice: Maureen Merritt
How fun were the projects this week?  What a great challenge Anne Marie!  For me, Maureen’s fresh and clean “Beans” card has a latte to love…sorry, couldn’t help myself!  J  The layout is perfect to feature that fabulous Kraft cup and the swirling steam.  I love the striped sleeve but my favorite part is the latte lids spilled all over the bottom. What a clever idea!  A striking layout and a clever sentiment all put this one over the top!  Congratulations, Maureen, you’re my choice for A Cut Above!

Jaydee's Choice:  Renae

Renae's fabulous card really lived up to the name of her blog!  I instantly fell in love with these goofy monkeys.  Having just celebrated a birthday, I could absolutely relate to this sentiment and those naughty monkeys tickled my funny bone!   Renae's fabulous fussy cutting, floating clouds, happy balloons and the punched branch, really appealed to me.  Congratulations on being my Cut Above this week, Renae.

Lesley's Choice: Jen Mitchell
I just LOVED Jen's hilarious card, and who wouldn't relate to this!!! Yes, better days are Saturday and Sunday for sure! Love that she made this a one layer wonder card with the sentiment built into the border she created. Also love her colouring...is it JUST awesome. Such a fun card Jen! Congrats on being my Cut Above this week!

LeAnne's Choice:  Julie Hoffman
Julie's card definitely brought me a chuckle!  Her clever construction of the stove with the little cupcake inside is such a cute way to send congratulations to an expectant happy couple!  "A bun in the oven" is the sentiment inside, and that's enough to make anyone laugh!!  Congratulations, Julie, for being my Cut Above!

Jenn's Choice: Brenda
Brenda's card immediately grabbed my attention with those bold pops of colour on the clean white background. I love how she masked off a strip of the card and stamped those fun and funky circles in such bright colours. And what else can I say?-that super sassy image and sentiment made me smile! Congratulations Brenda on being my Cut Above this week!

Heidi's Choice: Jenny Engelke
I couldn't help but be drawn to Jenny's cute little "cow are you doing" card. With that sweet red gingham paper and the scallop black polka dotted ribbon, it really caught my eye! The cow image was colored beautifully and the perfect layered flower accent was just the right finishing touch to coordinate nicely with the flowered paper. The inside greeting and design sealed the deal for me! Congrats, Jenny, for being chosen as A Cut Above this week!

Shirley's Choice: Lili
What a great start to my first week as GD. Humorous challenges are always my favorite. Thank you, Anne Marie. I got a good giggle when I saw this card, just thinking of my own birthday. All the flames on the cake and the chickens' look of fear in their eyes. The chicken with the fire extinguisher is my favorite part of the card. Lili did a great job on the watercoloring and the shadowing of the chickens is perfect. The fence gives the card a barnyard look and feel. I just want to say "Run for your life baby chick!!!" Congratulations on being "A Cut Above."

And now for our HEADLINER...

Anne Marie's Choice: Jen W.
With so many fun cards this week, selecting just one Headliner was NOT and easy task. I "litter"-ally laughed out loud as soon as I saw Jen's adorable card! How cute are those chubby orange kitties? The sweet expression on that cat's face makes me smile. I just love the playful design and the "punny" sentiment. The perfectly placed paw-prints are such a great touch, too. Absolutely adorable, in every way! Congratulations to you, Jen on being my choice for Headliner this week!

Thank you again to everyone who joined us here at the Paper Players! Be sure to hop on over tomorrow to see what the lovely LeAnne has whipped up for creative inspiration. You won't be disappointed!
Have a great day!
