Challenge #57 Winners

Hiya Paper Players!  Thank you so much for playing along with my sketch this week.  Once again you wow'ed us with your creativity and made our job choosing winners difficult!  Let's see what caught the eye of our Design Team for A Cut Above:

LeAnne's Choice - Torico
This cute little birthday pup has such a happy, silly smile on his face, and surrounded by his gifts and balloons, he just jumped out at me and gave me a slobbery dog kiss!  I love the bright colors Torico used in her card, and the background papers are just as fun as the image itself!  Happiness just shouts from this cute creation!  Congrats on being my Cut Above this week, Torico!

Lesley's Choice- Cindy Hall
Pretty impact is right!  I looked over all the submissions this week and there were so many wonderful creations, it was hard to narrow it down.  Then I revisited Cindy Hall and remembered this beautiful creation by Cindy and I knew this was a Cut Above for me this week!  The warm colours, the pretty flourishes on the designer paper and the flourish stamp.  I love the two colours she used on the stamp itself and the pretty popped flower all make for a pretty impact indeed!  Congratulations Cindy!

Ann's Choice - Narelle Farrugia

Narelle did a masterful job of combining stamp sets when she created this black and vanilla beauty!  I love how she stamped the floral image from Elements of Style onto the clock face from Sense of Time.  How creative! A mat of Certainly Celery adds just the right amount of contrast, while a gorgeous satin bow completes the picture!  Congratulations, Narelle, on being my Cut Above this week!

Sandra's Choice - Rosemary
Rosemary's card really stood out to me this week.  I love the 'softness' she has created with her card. The beautiful poppies look like they are swaying in a gently breeze and her bow is absolutely perfect! I also love how she flipped the sketch onto it's side. Congratulations on being my choice for a Cut Above this week, Rosemary!

Lauri's Choice:  Leena
Another week with so many choices!  Leena's card stood out for me for many reasons;  I love the shabby chic style and her unique choice of shape for the background.  The flowers and ribbon really make for a unique sketch interpretation and on top of that...the colors are so soothing!  Leena is my choice for a Cut Above this week!  Congratulations!

Tui's Choice - Cynthia
Wow ... so much fabulous talent out there this week, but the one that caught my eye was the beautiful card by Cynthia.  Her watercolouring of the focal image was one thing, but the dimension that she created by fussy cutting and popping it up was another - it really does draw you into the creation.  I also love the background texture and how it just adds that extra element in featuring the main image and of course just to add a bit of femininity, a simple classic bow.  Congratulations Cynthia on being my Cut Above for this week!
Jaydee's Choice - Monika
Monika's Aviary card is the most sophisticated card I have seen using this set.  I loved the clean, simple lines.  The addition of the baker's twine put it absolutely on trend.  The vintage vogue "garden" underneath the cages was a masterful touch.  The colors are crisp and fresh.  An all round stunning card.

Anne Marie's Choice: Christina MacLaren
Sea Glass & Sentiments

Christina's beautiful card immediately caught my eye this week. I love the beautiful mix of colors and the clean design showcased those pretty flowers perfectly. I especially liked how she worked the sentiment into the stamped image. Crisp, clean and fabulous, in every way! Congratulations Christina on being my choice for A Cut Above, this week!

and now for Headliner....
Nance's Choice: Tara
There were so many beautiful and fun choices this week but I kept coming back to Tara's beautiful card.  Her paper selection is perfect as the bold chevron pattern mimics the strong geometrics of the balloons.  The sponged sky is lovely and the trio of birds perfectly balances the composition.  All of these elements combined with a gorgeous color palette  sends Tara's work to the top.  Congratulations Tara, you're our Headliner this week!

We hope you'll join us tomorrow when the Schach master herself has a challenge fit for the season!
