PP350 - A Sketch Challenge from Nance

Hello Paper Players friends, Nance here.  A big shout out to all of you who played along with Jaydee & Sandy's fabulous feathered friend challenge last week.  It's a bittersweet time at our challenge as this is the last one with our fabulous Guest Designers, Valentyna & Crystal.  Huge thanks to these ladies for the wonderful creations and hard work they contributed to the success of our challenge.  We are pleased as punch that GD Deanne is staying on with us while we welcome our two new designers, Jan Clothier and Annie Abrahamson!  You can learn more about them on our Guest Designer page--welcome ladies, we are thrilled to work with you!

Now, on to this week where I am pleased to host our sketch challenge.  I love the look of tone-on-tone stamping and this sketch showcases it in the background.  Of course, you could do lots of other things such as embossing or with paper.  I hope you like it and can't wait to see what you make of it!  The Design Team has some fabulous creations to inspire you!

PP349 Challenge Winners

Hi Everyone,

 As usual, you guys rocked the challenge this week and there were some amazing creations in the gallery.  It really was so much fun to see a wonderful, colorful, funny, creative flock of birds!   I noticed lots of pink flamingoes amount the flock and even a little quail.  You really did make it difficult for our design team to choose winners.

 Talking about design team, we are very sad to see two of our great Guest Designers leave us this week.  We have so enjoyed having them as part of the team and seeing their fabulous creations in the gallery each week.  We say goodbye - and a massive thank you - to Crystal and Valentyna.  We are thrilled that our third guest designer for the first half of the year - Deanne - will be continuing on for the second   

 As we are sadly waving goodbye to Crystal and Valentyna, we are also waving a happy hello to our two newest guest designers.  Please give a warm welcome to our fabulous new designers:

I fell in love with Annie's gorgeous CAS card.  The shadow stamped bird houses are the perfect way to add depth to a CAS card.   I love the pop of color and texture of the red and blue bird house on its wooden pole - and those two little yellow birds are fabulous.   I know Annie's favorite Barista will find even more joy in this wonderful card.   Congratulations, Annie, on being my HEADLINER this week.

And now for our Headliner...
Kaya




I fell in love with Kaja's little elephant in his hot air balloon.  The clouds floating behind the balloon are perfectly placed and I love the mix of blues running in different directions.  The black sentiment banner with the white embossing pops off the background and helps to ground the focal element.  All of that lovely white space around the focal element makes my CAS loving heart happy.   Gorgeous card.  Kaja, congratulations on being my HEADLINER this week.

Dawn's card is so bright and cheerful, and I loved the way she utilized the sketch. The embossed background adds so much interest, and I like how she popped up the middle panel. The little hot air balloons go so well with the sentiment,too. Congrats Dawn, you are the Headliner this week!
