I loved Linda's  "glamping" scene and sentiment! The cute tree and grass add interesting texture to the card, and the camper is colored perfectly. The story of  Miss Emma camping is fun to read, great card and post Linda! Congrats...you are the headliner this week!

Some cards were more 'clean and simple' than others, but one thing's for sure, when it comes to colouring you all love it and there were some fabulous examples in the gallery. Toni Maddox - Frankie Helps Craft 

I loved the way Toni used strong colours, so beautifully shaded, to colour her sweet pair of friends on the bench, then gently sponged her grass and sky masked background to create great depth of field to her little scene. The overlaid sentiment is spot on and all that white space makes for a card that uses a coloured-in focal point to create CAS perfection. Congratulations Toni on being my headliner this week!

PP358 - A CAS Challenge from Joanne

Hi everyone! Joanne here as your hostess for this week's challenge at The Paper Players. Before we get to it, I'd like to thank all of you who played along with Sandy's colour challenge last week. The gallery was full of gorgeous creations and we enjoyed visiting your blogs as always.

This week I have a clean and simple challenge for you that requires you to get colouring! It can be any image or patterned paper and using markers, inks, pencils - whatever is your colouring tool of choice - just remember to keep your design clean and simple, with limited layers and embellishments.

Kimberly's card is such a delight! I love those big, bold blooms combined with the delicate branches. The interesting layout and splash of black add interest. Diary of an Inky Girl

One day I would love to see koalas like these in their native outdoors--Australia is definitely on my bucket list!  They have been one of my favorite animals since childhood so I was immediately smitten by Tricia's sweet card.  Her coloring and shading is perfection and I love the baby koala with it's mommy/daddy.  The splotchy watercolor background is so on trend and the color of it makes the whole design pop.  Every little detail is perfect and contributes to the whole design without being forced.  Just a fabulous card!  Congratulations, Tricia, you're my choice for this week's Headliner!

Hey there, friends and welcome to our first Theme Challenge of August!  Nance, here. Big thanks to everyone who played along with Laurie and Joanne's Tic Tac Toe challenge. There's always such wonderful variety in the entries for our bonus Tic Tac Toe.   This week, I challenge you to create something with the theme of The Great Outdoors.  It can be an outdoor activity such as cycling, hiking, camping, gardening, etc. or it can be something found outdoors in nature such as birds, bees, flowers, trees, leaves....you get the idea!
