And now, Joanne's choice for Headliner:

The textures, colours and layering on Mackie's card blew me away this week: everything so beautifully co-ordinated, from the papers to the washi tape and that lovely line of goo! As for that bird - I think those glossy spiders need to beware, they may well soon be someone's treat!  Congratulations Mackie on being my Halloween headliner!

Winners, be sure to collect your badges here.  We hope you will come back tomorrow for a color challenge from Jaydee!

There are a number of considered elements to Kim's clean and simple card that really made it stand out for me: the sun behind her swathes of colour, that thoughtful sentiment and a sprinkling of sequins, perfectly placed. I love it! Congratulations Kim on being my choice for headline this week!

PP262: A Colour Challenge from Joanne

Hello, friends of the Paper Players!  Big thanks to all who played along with Sandy's Lunchbox Love challenge last week.

Nance here, with the honors of introducing today's post.  The gracious host that she is, Joanne took over this week's challenge with a trio of pretty fall colors originally chosen by DT Ann.  By now, some our of readers will know that our dear friend and colleague, Ann Schach, has stepped down from our Design Team.  Ann joined our DT in 2010, within months of the first Paper Players challenge.  With her clever wit, mad business skills and wicked creativity she helped shape our challenge into the success that it is today.  More than that, however, she helped forge a tight family of sisters who share the ups and downs of life and business with the thing we do best--togetherness.  So, it is with great sadness that we see her step down but it is with great joy and gratitude that we wish Ann the best on her journey.  Happy trails and puppy tails, dear friend!  The Paper Players door is always open...

Now let's take a look at Ann's swan song of colours - what a great palette we have for you to work with this week! Just look at what our wonderful Design Team has created to inspire you:

Challenge Rules:
  1. Create a NEW paper, or digital, project.
  2. Upload your creation to your blog with a link back to us.
  3. Please provide a direct link to the post featuring your challenge entry.
  4. Please link your card to no more than three challenges, TOTAL. Entries linked to more than 3 challenges, including ours, will be deleted without notification.

Challenge #261 Winners

Hi everyone! A big thank you to all who played along with our Lunchbox Love challenge. We had a fabulous time checking out all your adorable creations. Each card was cuter than the one before!

Before we get to my choice for Headliner, let's see what caught the eye of our design team:

Now, let's take a look at our headliner:

Chan Vuong

Chan's little card is unbe-leaf-ably adorable! How clever she was to make faces out of the leaves, and the mis-matched eyes are so cute. The balance of colors, pattern and texture is just perfect, as are the little embellishments. Congrats, Chan! You are my Headliner this week!

Winners, be sure to collect your badges here.  Don't forget to come back tomorrow for a pretty color challenge from our Joanne!
