I was totally awed by Birgit's stunning card! The texture of the real feathers and the delicate die cut circle is just amazing. The softly stamped floral images inside are striking against the black. So very well done, Birgit! Congratulations!

Angela's bright orange bird is a real eye-catcher and the combination of the fabulous white embossed patterns, along with the two contrasting leaf stems, add so much texture and visual interest to her card. The huge expanse of white space makes this card a great example of a clean and simple masterpiece - many congratulations Angela on being my headliner this week!

PP232: A CAS Challenge from Joanne

Hi everyone - Joanne here! Thanks to everyone who played along with Nance's colour challenge last week - there were some amazing cards shared with us as always. I'm excited to be hosting my very first challenge here this week in one of my favourite styles - clean and simple. 14-21 February is National Nest Box Week here in the UK, which promotes encouraging birds into your garden and putting up boxes for them to nest in. I love watching the birds in my garden and I know a number of my fellow Paper Players are keen twitchers who often share fabulous photos on their blogs, so what better subject for my CAS challenge!

Hi everyone, Nance here!  Thanks to all who braved my color challenge--there were some beautiful entries and they ran the gamut from elegant to whimsical.  It's always fun to see how many different ways there are to interpret color and I love when a challenge makes us step outside our comfort zone.

I love that Chat used this bold color combination to create such a soft and lovely card.  Using black and white with different patterns and textures on her background really makes the red and coral pop.  The combination of polka dots and flowers is both elegant and fresh and I love the black accents in the leaves, flower and pearls. All around her design is classic and beautiful...congratulations Chat, you're my Headliner!
