PP378 - A Sketch Challenge from Nance

Hey there friends!  We were delighted at the turn-out last week for Joanne's CAS Love Note challenge.  We love that you are inspired by our challenges.  Nance here, as your happy hostess for this month's Sketch Challenge!  There are plenty of options with this sketch--play with the shape and the background.  Each element is representational -- you can make it your own -- just as long as we can see the "bones" of the sketch!  Our design team has pulled out all the stops on their cards this week--I just know they will inspire you to play along with us!

PP377 Challenge Winners

Well, you clearly loved this week's challenge! The gallery was chock-full of beautiful clean and simple love-notes that made choosing a winner rather tricky! Before we get to my choice for Headliner, let's see what caught the eye of the Design Team this week.

And now for our Headliner:






I had a real 'Gnomeo and Juliet' moment when I saw Laurie's card in the gallery - this cute rotund pair of kissing gnomes, so beautifully coloured in a haze of love, jumped out at me in an instant. This pair of star-crossed lovers captured my heart as well as each other's - congratulations Laurie on being my headliner this week!

PP377 - A Clean-and-Simple Challenge from Joanne

PP376 Challenge Winners

Hi Everyone.

Thank you to all of you who participated in our challenge last week.   the design team was blown away by the fabulous creations using the color scheme; from the clean and simple to the bold and beautiful and everything in between.  You all rocked this challenge.

Julie's smooshed background is beautiful and I love the random feel of the background with the beautiful forms of those gorgeously colored butterflies and the white on black sentiment.   The black mat frames this beautiful composition together beautifully.  Julie, I can't say enough about this absolutely beautiful card.   Congrats on being my headliner this week.

PP376 - A Color Challenge from Jaydee

Hi Everyone.  Jaydee here and it is my pleasure to host our Paper Players challenge this week.  We loved seeing your punny cards for Sandy's fabulous Punny Valentine challenge last week and we can't wait to see what you do with this color challenge.   It's a group of colors that you can use for masculine cards, kids cards - or even feminine cards.  In fact our fabulous design team have really provided you with a broad range of cards as inspiration.
Neutral colors (white, vanilla) are perfect as a base for this color and we welcome the addition of any color of your choice to go along with the Denim, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide.  I chose gold as my additional color.

Betty's creation had me wowed! Her card has so many interesting elements, I couldn't stop looking at it. I love the gorgeous watercolor background, the stripes and bit of gold, the loops of thread, all of it! Congrats Betty, you are my headliner this week!

PP375 - A Theme Challenge from Sandy


Hi everyone, and Happy New Year! Sandy here as your hostess, and I'd like to welcome you to the first challenge of the year at The Paper Players. Before we get to it, I'd like to share a few announcements. We are delighted to have a new Guest Designer with us for the next six months, the talented Eliz Stewart. Also, two of our previous guest designers, Jan Clothier and Annie Abrahamson, have agreed to stay on for another 6 months. Please visit their blogs and give them each a warm welcome!
