PP329 - A Sketch Challenge from Joanne

Hi everyone! Joanne here as your hostess this week with a new challenge from The Paper Players! Before we get to it, I'd like to thank everyone who played along with Jaydee's Clean and Simple floral challenge. The gallery was loaded with so many fabulous creations!


Today I have a simple sketch for you to play along with. There is the option to go clean or add layers - I'm looking forward to seeing how it inspires you to create. Before you head to your craft rooms, let's see what the Team has to inspire you:

PP328 Challenge Winners

Hi Everyone.  Jaydee here.  WOW!  What an amazing gallery this week.  The submissions so varied and you made it very difficult for our design team to choose their winners.  Thank you to all of you who joined us and played along this week.

 Before we get to my choice for Headliner, let's see what caught the eye of the design team.  And the Design Team selections for A Cut Above are.....

Experiments with Card Making etc

Ashwini's card is simply gorgeous.  I love the green background with the watermarks.  
The muted colors of the layered lily stamp are perfect with the soft olive background.  
The floral images pop off the page and the sentiment is perfectly placed and the black centers 
of the flowers help to highlight the sentiment.  Absolute CAS perfection.

Huh. So this is a blog.

Jan's card is moo-chas adorable! Her happy little cow is the perfect choice for a black and white element, I love the strip of gingham grass as her pop of color, and the sentiment made me smile on a day I really needed one! I'm sure the lucky recipient will be equally pleased. Congrats Jan, you are my headliner this week!

PP326 Challenge Winners

Hi everyone!  LeAnne here...I had SO MUCH FUN looking at everyone's recycled creations this week...I think this might have been my favorite challenge ever!  You are all so creative in what you save and how you use those saved items; some are beautiful and some are just downright funny!

The Grand Stampede
Shawna's card came in at the last minute, and once I saw the Campbell's soup label, I couldn't wait to see how she used it!  Her fun technique with the words and letters made this creation visually interesting, and the little heart made it even more extra special!  And everyone knows chicken soup makes you feel better!  A wonderful way to recycle that label!  Congrats, Shawna, for being my Headliner this week!

PP326 - A Theme Challenge from LeAnne

Hello, everyone! We're baack!  We hope you had a marvelous holiday season and are relaxed, renewed, refreshed and ready to stamp!  LeAnne here with the first challenge of 2017, and my theme this week is "Going Green".....not the color green, but recycle green!  We'd like to see something recycled on your creation this week...maybe an embellishment from an old card; a piece of paper from a flyer in your mail, or a ribbon from a gift....the possibilities are endless!  Be sure to tell us what your recycled item is, too!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!  And be sure to welcome our new guest designers Crystal, Valentyna and Deanne!
